Sage Software Ships Enhanced Sage Abra HRMS for Mid-Sized U.S. and Canadian Organizations

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Sage Software announced today the availability of Sage Abra HRMS version 8.1, featuring support for mid-sized U.S. and Canadian businesses and organizations, and integration with the new Sage Abra eRecruiter, also released today. Supporting the Microsoft® SQL Server and MSDE databases, Sage Abra HRMS (human resource management system) version 8.1 brings more flexibility, ease-of-use, and reporting options to the award-winning Sage Abra HRMS system.
“Sage Abra HRMS version 8.1 includes HR, attendance and training modules to comprehensively meet the HR management, information tracking, reporting, and legislative compliance needs of North American organizations,” said Karl Grass, vice president and general manager for Sage Abra HRMS and Sage Payroll Services at Sage Software. “Upon installation of version 8.1, customers can choose the configuration appropriate for their organization, including U.S., Canada, or both.”

Features in Sage Abra HRMS version 8.1 include enhanced job description information, more flexibility in defining employee seniority for attendance purposes, additional options for tracking vacation time, and step rates for such organizations as municipalities, universities, and union-based industries. Sage Abra HRMS version 8.1 also features tight integration with Sage Payroll Services for U.S. companies, and offers an optional link to ADP Canadian payroll services.

"We especially like the enhanced employee features, such as seniority attendance tracking and new vacation tracking choices.”

For Canadian organizations, Sage Abra HRMS now tracks PIPEDA (Personal Information Privacy and Documents Act) consent information. New reports designed to meet the needs of U.S. and Canadian installations cover employee beneficiaries and dependents, benefits, skills, and education. Sage Abra HRMS version 8.1 also includes key Canadian compliance capabilities for EE (Employment Equity) and OSH (Occupational Safety and Health), while continuing to help U.S. organizations comply with EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) requirements.

In addition to the HR, attendance and training modules, version 8.1 also includes a new version of Abra Workforce Connections, the workforce-facing self-service system for Sage Abra HRMS. Consisting of Sage Abra ESS (employee self-service) and Sage Abra Benefits Enrollment modules, plus the new Sage Abra eRecruiter module, Abra Workforce Connections provides customers with Web-based workflow automation capabilities.
