Extended support for SQL Server 2005 ends on April 12, 2016

As the great majority of our clients use Microsoft's SQL Server database for their Sage accounting, CRM or HR systems, we wanted to make sure you were aware of that Microsoft will be ending extended support for SQL Server 2005 on April 16th, 2016.

This means that Microsoft will no longer provide security updates and hotfixes which, in turn, increases the risks of downtime due to data issues or security breach to your organization.

Organizations should now start planning to upgrade their databases to SQL Server 2014 to minimize the chance of disruptions to your business.

Visit Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 End of Extended Support page for resources and tools for upgrading.
