Sage's yearly Summit conference for customers and partners was held in Las Vegas last month.
For those of you that missed it, many of Sage’s technology and product presentations spoke of their hybrid cloud vision, combining the new "cloud" technology with current on-premise installations in an effort to connect customers to new, integrated mobile solutions that leverage existing accounting data.
In this model, your core accounting data remains securely on your servers while subsets of data are synchronized to the cloud for use with these new web applications.
The benefit is that you can now have your data securely connected to a whole new world of web-based add-on applications and cloud services without having to purchase, install, configure and maintain web servers in-house. Read the article we posted last month to find out how it works and what web apps have already been released to market.
