Just in case you weren't aware of this one, we thought we'd share this opportunity for your organization to get some government funding to cover the cost of providing employees with training to improve your business performance.
It is called the Canada-Ontario Job Grant and it is available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training (less than a year) to existing and new employees. If this is in your plans, you could get up to $10,000 per person in government support for training costs. Employers are required to pay their share and contribute one-third of the total costs.
The program is intended to provide training for existing employees acquiring skills for their current job or preparing for a new position with the same employer as well as for organizations hiring unemployed individuals seeking a new job. The training must be provided by an eligible third-party trainer although the categories cover most training requirements and do include Product vendors if you are looking to improve your organization's skills with Sage products.
