Nicole Despatie  CA

President, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage 300, Sage CRM, Sage HRMS

Nicole has been implementing computerized accounting solutions since they made the jump from mainframe computers to the PC in the 80's. After her initial training as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Nicole served at several large accounting firms including Deloitte & Touche. During this time, she was called upon to assess the computerized accounting needs of clients and then recommend and implement solutions that would help them to become more efficient and profitable. In 1993, she founded D&A to continue serving this need. Since then, the quality, dependability and affordability of Sage 300 solutions (formerly Accpac) have increased and so has her list of clients, initially developed solely through the referrals of her satisfied clients. In addition to the Sage 300 Accounting modules, Nicole is also certified in Sage HRMS and Sage CRM and has experience with many third party applications designed to integrate with Sage 300.

 


 

Joël Morghese  HBA(Law), MBA

Director of Operations, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage CRM

Joël is responsible for the creation, implementation and monitoring of our strategic marketing plan. He is working to ensure that we really understand our clients’ needs and deliver, as a Team, the best possible solution, on time and on budget. In addition, he brings life to our marketing campaigns and manages our CRM division. His prior experience as a business owner has covered all aspects of business operations and management. Joël completed the Executive MBA program at the University of Ottawa’s School of Management and is also certified by Sage in CRM.

 


 

Jim King

Project Manager

Jim ensures that our projects move ahead as planned and manages the relationships between the three stakeholders, namely, you the Client, our Team and our Software Partners. As one of his first priorities, Jim initiated our Operation Excellence© project management methodology designed to ensure smooth software implementations. He has significant experience in managing projects of all sizes and providing clients at all levels with a high degree of satisfaction. His background includes project management responsibilities for several larger retailers in Ottawa, including Bank Street Framing, McIntosh & Watts and Inly Computers.

 


 

Gayle Young

Sage 300 Certified Sales Consultant, Sage Certified HR Specialist, Sage 50 Certified Consultant & Trainer,  D&A Controller

Gayle has taken on a dual role in our organization. As our Controller, she draws on over 10 years of experience in the wireless and telecom sectors. Secondly, as a Certified Sales Consultant, she draws on her sales experience in the fields of transportation and aircraft leasing to provide our customers with a professional sales approach whose objective is in line with our ultimate vision of providing effective tools and expertise for better business management. Gayle is certified by Sage to sell their products and is also a Sage HRMS Certified Consultant.


 

Will Booth  BSc

Business Solution Architect, Sage Certified Sales Consultant

Will is a professional salesperson and solution archicect with the experience & knowledge to assist our clients in obtaining the information necessary to make critical business management software decisions.  His experience hails from over 20 years in the computer industry, including 17 years in sales positions. Over this period of time, Will has developed a confident, easy-going style that is more focused on helping the client achieve their goals than on high pressure selling.

 



Mel Marulanda  BBA

Software Consultant, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage 300 ERP

Immediately after completing his Bachelor of Business Administration (Major in Accounting) at Bishop’s University, Mel joined ACCPAC International as an Advantage Series (Now Sage 300) Technical Support Specialist where he spent close to 3 years applying his technical knowledge and accounting education researching and resolving a wide variety of application and system-related issues for English, French and Spanish language users. Since those days at ACCPAC, Mel has worked as a Certified Consultant in Sage 300 (formerly ACCPAC) and Sage HRMS, providing clients with a full range of implementation services including the analysis of current environments and accounting procedures, conversion of data, application training, documentation of new procedures, customizations (reports, forms and screens) and technical support. Mel focuses his efforts on Sage 300, Sage HRMS and Norming Fixed Assets.

 


 

Peter Leroux

IT Specialist/Programmer, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage CRM

Peter has over 10 years experience configuring and administering networked environments. His broad base of knowledge includes the most common operating systems, database software, programming software and network infrastructure running in today's businesses. His formal training was completed at Algonquin College and his past experience includes administrating networks and managing support specialists for Ginsberg, Gluzman, Fage & Levitz Chartered Accountants and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Peter’s knowledge allows our clients to benefit from crossover services between Sage 300, the operating system and the network. This is becoming more and more important due to the complexity of the new generation of web-based applications and their high level of integration. Peter is certified by Sage to install and customize their CRM application, which is an excellent example of this type of web-based, integrated architecture. In addition, since our business does not involve the sale of hardware, he can be invaluable in doing assessments in order to provide an objective viewpoint in designing future networking strategies.

 


 

Hans Doreleyers  BAdmin

Software Consultant, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage 300

Hans is certified for the Sage 300 accounting and operational suite of products but his real world expertise with Sage 300 stems from his experience as the Manager of IT for a telecom firm in the area. His expertise includes skills in writing macros, designing Crystal reports and setting up Third Party products such as Financial Link Pro. Hans is a resourceful professional who strives for high customer satisfaction. He rises to challenges by relying on expertise gained over the course of his career as well as on continued professional development and ACCPAC teaching assignments at St-Lawrence College. In addition to Sage 300, Hans has application certifications in Project & Job Costing, Sage CRM.

 


 

Éric Gauvreau

ERP Software Consultant, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage 300

Eric has spent the past 10 years doing software implementations, solving Accpac-related problems and coaching small to medium businesses on how they can better manage their business processes using tools to maximize efficiency and profitability. This valuable experience was founded on a Certified Management Accounting (CMA) degree, a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting, and several years as a controller in the construction industry. As well, he has put his expertise to good use teaching Accpac courses for accounting students at La Cité Collégiale. Over the years, Eric's quest for knowledge has earned him certifications in all areas of Sage 300, including the financial and operations suite, payroll, CRM and project and job costing. Lastly, he also provides expertise in Crystal Reports, SQL, Pervasive and Access databases, and is available to provide services and training in both official languages.

 


 

Omar Hurtado CPA, CMA

Sage Cloud Solutions Consultant

Omar joined D&A in October 2017 to help guide D&A's entry alongside Sage into a new market of cloud-based products destined to be the future of accounting & business management software.  His education and experience make him well-suited to take on the role of assisting our existing and prospective clients looking to move in this new and exciting direction.  Omar obtained a management accounting designation following a business accounting degree from Concordia's John Molson School of Business and has worked with several ERP systems, including SAP, Maximum and Cegid (Europe) in many functional areas of business including market research, client assessments, design & implementation, product development and customer support.  Prior to joining D&A, Omar worked for a global manufacturer where he focused on project management, ERP system development and the implementation of new processes/procedures to increase the organization's productivity and efficacy.  His initial focus at D&A will be on the new Sage Live cloud accounting and Sage People HR solutions.

 


 

Angela Nigro

Software Consultant, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage HRMS

Angela is able to draw on expertise gained over the past 30 years in recruiting, quality assurance, software training and sales, to assist clients in identifying their human resource needs. She has developed a very professional and engaging approach to providing solutions for the clients she works with. Prior to joining the D&A Team, she spent over 10 years working in the realm of HRMS for Sage, giving her constant exposure to the software as well as many opportunities to consult and assist HRMS clients with their requirements. Lastly, Angela is able to offer her services in the official language of your choice.

 


 

Christopher Tamé CMA

Sage Certified Consultant - Sage 300, Sage CRM

Christopher's training as a CMA and experience since 1986 with ACCPAC (now Sage 300) have given him the ability to understand and talk about an organization from a business, software and data process perspective.  He is passionate about this type of needs/process analysis as it has allowed him to deliver significant savings to clients in terms of people hours per year through the elimination of costly processes; hours that can then be re-purposed to more effective tasks inside the organization.  Christopher focuses his efforts on his Sage Certified consulting skills in the financial and operational areas of Sage 300, with special interest areas including project & job costing, multi-currency, payroll and business intelligence.  In addition, he is well-versed in Stonefield Query and Norming Asset Management, both third party products that enhance the native functionality within Sage 300.  Lastly, Christopher obtained his Sage CRM certification and understands the value that this solution can bring to an organization.

 


 

 

 Jeff Rodrigue

Software Consultant, Sage Certified Consultant - Sage 300

Over the past 30 years, Jeff has helped clients from a wide cross-section of industries find unique solutions to their finance and reporting needs using a combination of computer, financial and programming knowledge.  Prior to joining the Team at D&A, Jeff did ACCPAC implementations for the accounting firm of Scott, Rankin, Gordon & Gardiner in Ottawa's west end before launching his own company, SRGG Solutions, when the firm merged with Deloitte in 2008.  In 2016, Jeff made the decision to become a part of D&A's team of Sage consultants where his strong background and experience has been a welcome addition.  Jeff is well-versed in all areas of Sage 300, including the financial and operations suite, payroll modules and many of the Third Party add-on applications that enhance productivity.  He also enjoys adding value by customizing clients’ systems using macros, Crystal Reports and Sage Intelligence, the latest in reporting solutions.
